Dissertation Project

In his dissertation on corporate and environmental ethics, Andri König explores the question of responsibility for sustainable consumption and production patterns: Should this be a voluntary task of consumers and companies, or are there good ethical reasons for stronger state control? What are the consequences of the ethical considerations for the practical implementation of sustainable production and consumption?

Ethics in Practice

In the practical project at the renowned outdoor supplier VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG, the above and other company-related ethical questions are discussed in relation to each other. The family-owned company is known, among other things, for its diverse sustainability activities, such as fair and environmentally friendly product manufacturing. Through the collaboration, considerations of philosophical ethics find their way into entrepreneurial practice. Likewise, practical knowledge is integrated into ethical reflection.
