Vita

Yulia is a last year PhD candidate in philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a 1st year PhD candidate in sociology at the Graduate School for Social Research (GSSR) of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Previously, they had a fellowship at the University of Vienna. They received their BA in philosophy and MA in religion studies at the Donetsk State Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems (Ukraine).

Research at the ZEPP

Yulia conducts their research within the theoretical perspective of the sociology of knowledge and social and political epistemology. Their current project focuses on epistemic freedom and the reproduction of unfreedom in authoritarian societies. They are conducting this research at the intersection of philosophy and sociology, on the case of the Soviet Communist and the current Russian regime.
